Cinco de mayo is a Mexican holiday. Cinco de mayo is celebrated because it marks the Mexican army's victory over France at the battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican war in 1862. there is a difference between the Mexico's Independence Day and Cinco de mayo, Mexico's independence day is actually celebrated on Sept. 16.
I will be celebrating Cinco de mayo. I will be grilling up some carne asada and friends will be pulling up and maybe some cold ones. My family will not celebrate because they have to work the next day, but I will be celebrating Cinco de mayo.
